Getting married on December 31st. in France

” There are never too many sparkles to celebrate the New Year!”

The sun rose at 8:56 a.m. and set at 5:13 p.m. A soft light, a few clouds, an average temperature of 11°C on this 365th day of the year… J + M chose to get married on December 31st.

A winter wedding in Normandy, at Domaine de Cussy. Nature still asleep, golden evening light, smiles warming the crisp air, mulled wine before the ceremony — everything was there to create an atmosphere that was both festive and tender.

In winter, night falls early, a perfect opportunity to enhance the atmosphere through thoughtful lighting design. Candles, string lights, and golden reflections create a warm, inviting ambiance, a soft glow that brings people closer together.

When it comes to floral design, the season offers a subtle palette. Anemones, ranunculus, and hellebores paired with touches of pine or textured foliage complement the materials and muted tones of winter: wood, velvet… Together, they create an atmosphere that is both refined and authentic, perfectly in harmony with the spirit of the place and the moment.

Celebrating a wedding against the backdrop of New Year’s Eve is about offering loved ones an experience that is festive, luminous, and deeply unforgettable. A moment that warms hearts, even in the depths of winter. Because every story deserves to be celebrated in its own way, we support couples seeking a sincere and bold wedding that truly reflects who they are.
